How to know if you are allergic to lash extensions?

Eyelash extensions may cause allergies to people with sensitive eyes. Don't worry you are not the

only one and there is a solution for it.

Symptoms can appear within a few minutes to a few hours after the cosmetologist first put the extensions in place.


Typical symptoms include redness, itchiness, and swelling that occurs on the eyelid or the eye itself.


What to do if you have red eyes after lash extensions? The most important is to prevent; always tell your lash tech if you think you have sensitive eyes but in case you didn't mention and you have red eyes after lash extensions. This is what you need to do: In most cases, allergy eye drops, cold compresses, Benadryl, and topical creams should resolve the clients red eyes but if after 2 days you don't have any improvement and still have red eyes, we advise you to see a doctor.


Will my lash extension allergy go away? In general terms once the lash extensions are removed, allergy symptoms should start vanishing. Unfortunately, clients with an allergy to lash extension adhesive, will always experience a reaction. Even after a long break from the treatment, it's likely that the allergy will return, stronger than ever. This is why we have created special hypoallergenic formulas for sensitive eyes.
